The intensity that Dan puts into his music through his guitar and his smooth bluesy voice is the reason why I asked him to play at the first 'annual' Rarearth Jazz and Blues Fest. He's got just enough of an 'edge' to wow his audience with that 'bad boy' presence and gains their respect on the first note played. Dan Engelland has been awarded the honor and title "Real Blues Man" in the Fraternal Order of Celestial Musicians 6th Annual Black American Music Awards.
Sponsored by - The Black American Blues Historical Society of Canada. Charles Taylor, nephew of Koko Taylor presented the award to a surprised and very honored Dan Engelland on March 15, 2007.

We made it back safe and sound ,made some friends and travelled the country one end to the other. Performed to appreciative audiences thru to St. John's Nfld and back. It truly was a GOOD thing to do.
